A Danish cargo-line ship took on one member as a passenger and all of expedition's
supplies and gear from Copenhagen to Tasiilaq on her first sailing of the 1971 summer season.
A small helicopter on an improvised landing pad on top of the main cargo hatch is occasionally
flown in order to find the route through the ice breaking up early in the summer.
